About Program:  Electrical & Electronics Engineering is a growing and one of the most sought disciplines in the field of engineering study. It is originated by the electrical engineering. By the technically modernization of the world and computerization in our work field, it is necessary to use and understand the circuits and computerized devices in electrical & electronic field. 

The department of EEE, SJBIT was started in 2004 with 60 intake and it provides a conducive platform for graduation through qualified faculties and  State of the art facilities, nurturing the students to think, innovate, excel and develop problem solving skills to sustain academic and real-life work environment. 

Eligibility criteria:  

  • Students who have passed PUC/10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects Chemistry /Computer Science / Electronics/ Biotechnology / Biology, with at least 45% of marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to Reserved Category as per Government order) in the above subjects taken together.
  • Lateral Entry to Second Year Bachelor of Engineering (B.E): Passed Diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution, with at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to Reserved Category) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology.
  • For admission under management quota, students should have compulsorily appeared in CET/COMEDK/JEE or any other entrance test for professional program.

Admission through: Karnataka CET, COMED-K, Management Quota 

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

PEO 1: Graduates will be employable in industries like power sector, IT sector, embedded/ automation sector, allied sectors and adopt to rapidly evolving technologies.

PEO 2: Graduates can embark the interest of pursuing master’s degree and/or research in multidisciplinary and trending domains.

PEO 3: Graduates will be employers and self-employed with imbibed leadership qualities, teamwork ingenuity, ethics and societal concerns.

Program Specific Outcome

PSO 1: The Electrical and Electronics Engineering program must demonstrate that graduates can design and analyze systems that efficiently generate, transmit & distribute, measurement, protection and utilization of electric power.
PSO 2: The Electrical and Electronics Engineering program must demonstrate that graduates can understand the Operation of Electrical machines, Drives and their Control using Electronic Circuits and applying to the ever evolving societal and Industrial needs.
PSO 3: The Electrical and Electronics Engineering program must demonstrate design, analyze, implement and test the analog & digital circuits, signal processing, microcontrollers & computer programming.
