Three-Day Workshop on “Ethical Hacking and Cyber Security: Scope and Future Ahead” from 10/08/2023 to 12/08/2023
With the blessings of Pujya Swamiji and the unwavering support of our esteemed principal, the three-day workshop on “Ethical Hacking and Cyber Security: Scope and Future Ahead” was successfully launched on Day 1 with the invocation song and lighting of the lamp. The total number of participants registered for the workshop was 267, and 169 students had registered for the poster presentation. The workshop was inaugurated by Principal, Chief Guest Mr. Prameel Arjun and All Heads of IT.
The workshop was then conducted by a team of experts from the field of cyber security. They covered a wide range of topics, including the basics of ethical hacking, common cyber security threats, and how to protect oneself from these threats.
On the second day of the workshop, the speaker extensively talked about the following topics: Wireless attacks, Viruses and worms, Introduction to website security, Denial-of-service (DoS) and distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, Proxies and VPNs, Mobile hacking and security, Career paths and certifications in cybersecurity, with recent case studies and live examples. There were also many discussions and interactions with the audience.
This session featured an expert panel discussion on the topic of entrepreneurship. The panelists discussed the challenges and rewards of starting a business, as well as the skills and mindset that are necessary to be successful. They also provided advice to aspiring entrepreneurs.
The poster presentation competition was a success. The winners received awards, and the overall feedback was very positive. The session was well-received by the students, who participated in various activities.
Dr. K.V. Mahendra Prashanth, Principal, addressed the audience during the valedictory program. He congratulated all participants on their successful completion of the program and appreciated their efforts. A few attendees shared their thoughts on the workshop and gave positive feedback. The program ended with the distribution of certificates and a group photo with all coordinators and participants.
The overall feedback for the workshop was very positive. The students enjoyed the various activities and found the workshop to be informative and helpful.
