Dr. K V Mahendra Prashanth obtained his B.E. (Electronics & Communication Engineering) at National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysuru; M.E. (Power Electronics) from University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, Bengaluru. He has received a Ph.D. degree from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi.
He has around 30 years of Experience in teaching including in Research. He has published around thirty-six papers in the International and National peer reviewed journals and presented several papers in international conferences. Two technical papers authored by him were being adjudged as the top two papers; as per the survey report issued by BIO MED publications. His Research areas of interest are Signal processing, Active control, Bio-Medical Engineering and VLSI. At present he is guiding three Research Scholars and one Scholar has been awarded a Ph.D. Degree by Visvesvaraya Technological University.
Dr. KVM Prashanth has received a number of awards from INTEL, KSCST, JVTM etc., at State & National level for being guided Societal relevant projects. In association with the University of Agricultural Science, GKVK, Bengaluru; he has completed many Funded Projects. Presently working on “Upgradation of Existing Industry 3.0 to 4.0 to facilitate for Impending Technology” under Karnataka Fund for Infrastructure Strengthening in Science and Technology in Higher Educational Institutions(K-FIST2) Government of Karnataka (Funding Amount Rs.20 Lakhs)
Jnana Vijnana Samithi, Bengaluru has conferred “Shikshana Shilpi” award to Dr K V Mahendra Prashanth in recognition of his contributions as a Teacher and Researcher. Further, Dr. K V Mahendra Prashanth has been conferred “Excellence in Higher Education award” in the year 2020, also obtained Centre for Leadership Development, Venus International Foundation has conferred “Distinguished Leader” Award during 2018. He is contributing as a Reviewer for an International Journal. He is serving as a Member of the Board of Studies for various Universities and Institutes. He is the Member of IEEE, Acoustical Society of India, ISTE, Institute of Engineers (IEI) India, International Institute of Acoustics & Vibration (IIAV), Advanced Computing and Communications Society (ACCS) etc.
