Guest Lecture on Idea Generation and Idea Validation was organized on 6/8/2017 by ED cell. Mr Hemanth Kumar, MD, Educraftech addressed the students on generating and validating. 90 students from different streams of BE, & MBA, SJBIT, took part .

Two days technical talk on Patents was organized on 22/8/2017 & 23/8/2017 by ED cell and Department of ECE, SJBIT, Ms Neha Balekundri , an alumni of SJBIT, working with Invn Tree IP services Pvt Ltd, Bangalore, gave a talk on role of patents. 16 faculties and 47 students from SJBIT were benefited from the event.

Three days Entrepreneurship awareness Camp was organized from 17/8/2017 to 19/8/2107 by ED cell and Department of ECE, SJBIT in association with DST ,EDII & SJBIT. 170 Students from both SJBIT and Outside colleges took part in the camp.

Entrepreneurship Conclave – Youth Entrepreneurship Innovative for Sustainable Business – National Conference 2017 on 27/04/2017 by ED cell and Department of MBA, SJBIT. 170 Students participated in the conference.

Workshop on Financial Budgeting was organized on16/02/2016 by ANZ Bank Group, Bangalore. 60 Students from MBA participated in the workshop.

Workshop on IPR & Innovation Management, by VTPC, Bangalore, was organized on 31/08/2015. 88 Students from B.E., M.Tech & MBA took part in the event.

FDP on Training to Trainer on IPR – Significance of Academia in Business & Research,VTPC, Bangalore was organized on 26/08/2015. 30 Faculty Members from across the Departments of SJBIT participated in the event.

National Conference 2014 -Entrepreneurial Conclave was organized by ED Cell and Department of MBA, SJBIT, on 6/11/2014. 183 Students participated across the state in the conference.

Avishkar 2014- EDP EXPO was jointly organized by ED Cell and Department of MBA, SJBIT, from 1/4/2014 to11/4/2014. 183 Students from B.E., M.Tech & MBA participated in the event.

5 Days MDP was organized in association with MSME, Ministry of HRD, Govt of India, from 3/2/2014 to 7/2/2014. 25 Students from B.E., M.Tech & MBA were benefited.

Workshop on Investment Planning & Saving for Entrepreneur by SEBI was organized on 9/11/2013.

Prof. K. Prabhakar, SEBI was the Resource Person.  100 Students from B.E., M.Tech & MBA were benefitted by the workshop.

Industrial Motivation Campaign by MSME – Ministry of HRD, Government of India was organized on 21/04/13.Mr. Baldev Singh, Assistant Director, MSME was the resource person.           80 Students from B.E., M.Tech & MBA were benefitted by the campaign.

Workshop on Financial Education for Young Entrepreneurs, was organized on 20/04/13. Dr. Kishore, Resource Person from SEBI educated students on financial assistance from SEBI, totally 120 Students from B.E., M.Tech & MBA were benefitted from the workshop.

Inauguration of ED Cell on 23/11/12 in CSE Seminar hall. Signing a MOU was initiated between SJBIT -ED Cell & MSME, Ministry of HRD, Govt of India. Dr. Jamakhandi, Director, MSME and Prinicipal & Chairman Dr Puttaraju signed a MOU and inaugurated the ED Cell.
