Department of HRD is established in the year 2004 with the motto of providing career opportunities for the students at SJB Institute of Technology from various streams or branches. The Department has excellent facilities with the vision to create a state of art platform for all the campus recruitment activities.
The Department aims to develop competent engineers and business managers equipped with essential skills and be industry ready by the time they enter corporate world or employment sector. Department develops the required skills in the individual by vigorously training the students as part of our training roadmap right from the 1st semester of their program plan.
HRD comprises various verticals that includes Corporate Affairs, Learning and Development, Upskilling, On campus, Off Campus and pool campus recruitments for the freshers. These verticals work in coordination with each other along with the support of respective academic departments to ensure the student readiness for the corporate world. Our L&D programs help in the holistic development of students with the emphasis on upskilling the students and make them industry ready by the time they reach the final year where their campus recruitment activities start actively. SJBIT has been consistently setting records of campus placements amongst private institutions in Karnataka. The department actively renders support to students of SJBIT and extends opportunities to the other students by organizing pool campus drives as part of its social responsibility.

Prashanth is heading the Department of HRD at S.J.B Institute of Technology. Prashanth is basically a technical person with passion towards Team Leading and Process Management.
Prashanth has done his graduation in BE – Computer Science and Engineering and Post Graduation MTech in Computer Science and Engineering. He has both Academic and Industry Experience in various fields during his professional career.
He has worked as Asst Professor and Placement Officer in Academia in reputed institutions prior to this assignment. As part of Industry exposure worked at the roles of Technical Director and Learning and Development Lead in a US based IT Product company. He has very strong rapport and association with corporate affairs, and he is also very instrumental in guiding and training the students for their employment opportunities.

Exclusive 300 computer systems in HRD Labs equipped with Wi-Fi and Lan connectivity and web cam enabled for the regular technical trainings and assessments.
Auditorium with 1500 students seating capacity
800 High – end computer systems for online assessments
30 interview cabins completely furnished with wi-fi and LAN internet connectivity and centralized AC.
Control room for the corporate with 30 seating capacity
3 waiting halls for students to be seated separately during interview process.
Dining hall exclusive for corporates with 50 seating capacity at a time.
8 Training rooms equipped with projectors and smart panel LEDs for training activities.
Full pledged department with all facilities for Placement team.
Skill Development Trainings
Regular HRD Training
Students are trained from 1st year to 3rd year to prepare them for placement selection process in the 4th year. Training is provided through industry experts, ensuring each student will spend a minimum of 2 hrs/week.
Vocational Training
This is professional training provided in 3rd year during the vacation prior to appearing placement selection process. This training reinforces all the concepts of technical soft skills so that students tuned to meet the expectations of the companies.
