Blood Donation Camp
SJB Institute of Technology organized 10th Mega Blood Donation Camp on 27th May 2022 under NSS Unit of SJBIT.
The Blood Donation Camp was organized in association with NSS Unit of SJBIT, Rotary Club – Banashankari and Red Cross Society.
Apart from academics, the Institution extends support to nurture the ethical, social and human values. The event was presided by Revered Sri Sri Dr. Prakashnatha Swamiji, Managing Director, BGS & SJB Group of Institutions and Hospitals. The Guest of Honours Mr. Srinagara Kitti and Ms. Nikitha, well known Kannada film artists graced the occasion and addressed the gathering. Swamiji addressed the gathering and emphasized the necessity of Blood Donation owing to acute shortage of blood in the Country. Swamiji also insisted the youth to donate blood in larger magnitude to benefit the mankind. Dr. K V Mahendra Prashanth, Principal, SJBIT and Dr. Mohan M E, Principal, BGS GIMS were part of the event.
Mr. Rohith Nagesh, President Rotary Club – Banashankari expressed his joy for the discipline in the Campus – which paves way for everything. He mentioned that the noble act of Blood Donation will save lives and families. He expressed his sincere thanks to the Management, Staff, Volunteers and Donors for having donated “Blood with love”.
The Camp had overwhelming response from the Staff and Students. 400 hundred units of blood was donated by the volunteers. Poojya Swamiji distributed Appreciation Certificates for the donors as a token of goodwill gesture.
